RapidShare Uploader for OSX

This tiny little application closes the lack of the missing Rapidshare-Uploader from the officials for Mac OSX. After i found a Perl API (rsapi.pl) i thought it coudn't be that hard to code something in Objective-C to have a nice GUI around this script.

And here it is ;-)

If you want contribute a translation which is currently not included, please download this package, translate all included string-files and the html help (all files must stay in UTF-8 Format). Send me your eMail-Address by using my contact formular and inform me about your activities. You'll recieve my eMail then to send me your translation.

Since Version 5.1 of SpeedDownload for OSX, there is also a commercial Application for Rapidshare Uploads available.

Instructions

• Drag files to the Batch list to add it to the queue
• Drag folders to the Dock-Icon to add its contents to the queue
• Click on "Upload" to start/stop the queue
• After the upload is finished the Rapidshare Links will be displayed in the Textbox and can be copied to the Clipboard
• Doubleclick on the red icon to delete the file on the rapidshare server (only works for free uploaders)
• Doubleclick on the RapidShare link to check the file on rapidshare

Release notes

• 07.12.2009: Version 0.923 fixes the refreshing bug. Even if compiled with 10.5 SDK, some users report Crashes under 10.5.8. The next Release will only be for 10.6 then.
• 08.10.2009: Version 0.922 is a recommended bugfix release because it correctly handles now the upload retries again. Because of a partitial code rewrite the object model has changed to implement bandwidth throtteling.
• 05.10.2009: Version 0.921 fixes a problem with window refreshing under some conditions.
• 03.10.2009: Version 0.92 fixes a problem with uploads in premium zone.
• 11.09.2009: Version 0.91 got some changes requested in my forum. I am working on bandwith throtteling now and resume upload again. I think i found a way to implement it without overhead of tmp files. Will see...

• 03.04.2009: Version 0.893 fixes a problem with the changed Rapidshare Uploader API. Could be that this fix will not long work because Rapidshare is still changing things.
• 15.12.2008: Version 0.891 uses now a modified version of the underlaying rsapi.pl. Rapidshare changed the upload procedure and uses the SSL protocol from now on.
• 25.11.2008: Version 0.89 got portuguese and danish language support. Thanks to Clife Moreira and Christoffer Stilbo for the translations.

• 16.09.2008: Version 0.8 added a upload retry if there is a connection problem. Some other changes like enhanced GUI and code optimizations round this release up. Compiled with GCC 4.2
• 12.09.2008: Version 0.75 is a Bugfix release. It corrects a problem that causes the application to crash if no password was given before.
• 11.09.2008: Version 0.7 changes the way your Rapidshare Password is stored. With this version the password is stored in the System keychain. If you upgrade from earlier release you must delete the Preference file in ~/Library/Preferences/ch.fbis.RSUploaderX.plist
• 10.09.2008: Version 0.6 got a new Icon and included Help system. A list of all killcodes can be dumped. Iam still thinking about the "resume upload" functionality because this is only possible by storing a upload-log or something like that. Probably 0.7 will include this but up to know i doesnt get any problem report about broken uploads.
• 04.09.2008: Version 0.5 adds the often requested feature of concurrent upload threads. Minor corrections in the english Menu, correct saving of Preferences and support for Collector-Accounts rounds this release up. Planned feature in 0.6 will be "resume upload".
• 03.09.2008: Version 0.4 fixes a major bug that causes the application to crash in certain situations - learned a lot now about notifications and NSOperationQueue. The Icons were also replaced by better ones. Multi-thread upload is one the way, hopefully in 0.5 available. Localization is also improved, if you want to contribute a missing language let me know.
• 02.09.2008: Version 0.3 got german translation and some enhancement in the way drag&drop works. Planned feature for 0.4 is the activation of multi-thread upload.
• 30.08.2008: Version 0.2 is a working release, but some features are still missing. But i integrated a automatic Update System so you'll get it when its there. This is the first release made public available.
• 28.08.2008: Version 0.1 was generated after some research if there is already something useable.

Its not allowed to post this application on Rapidshare to collect Rapidshare-Points. I give this app for free - so dont lame and try to make money with it!
